Mikov Historical Weapon Replicas

What Mikov historical weapon replicas are

This section brings together replicas of cold weapons that Mikov makes from historical patterns: sabers, swords, dirks and knives reproduced from surviving originals and period drawings. They are not decorative trinkets cast in soft alloys but full-fledged pieces that stay close to their prototypes in proportions, materials and weight. Collectors, military history clubs and museums are the typical buyers. PROFI-INSTRUMENT is the official Mikov distributor in Ukraine, so everything in this section is a genuine product from the manufacturer. You can view our dealer certificate online.

Materials and finishing

Replicas call for a great deal of handwork: grinding, polishing and precise fitting of the guard and handle. The exact materials depend on the model:

  • Blades. Several models, including the aviation dirk, use stainless steel; some pieces carry an individual limited-edition number on the blade.
  • Handles and fittings. Gilded brass, mother-of-pearl scales and, on some pieces, a state emblem. Certain models come with a leather sheath with metal fittings.

Models in this section

The section holds a small selection of historical patterns: the Czechoslovak Air Force dirk of 1927, the customs service sword of 1932 in the LEV version, a commemorative saber and a walking saber, and a firefighter's side arm, a replica of a 19th–20th century service blade. One standout is the M-1917 officer's knife in a limited edition: it belongs to the War Veteran Project and recreates the blade adopted by the Austro-Hungarian army in 1917. The UTON model 74 is also worth a look, a replica of the prototype that preceded the well-known series; if you need modern working knives, see our military Mikov knives. Most items are made to order, so availability and lead times are confirmed on the product page and when you place the order.

Gifts and custom orders

The firefighter's side arm is traditionally given to distinguished volunteer firefighters on an anniversary or as thanks for years of service. For the commemorative saber and the walking saber (model 24/27) the manufacturer allows custom manufacturing: dimensions and materials, decoration, surface finish, the shape of individual parts, or your own engraved inscription can be changed. Final terms are agreed before production starts, so we recommend talking to a manager before ordering. For similar one-off work, see personalized knife manufacturing, and collectors will find numbered series in limited editions.

Payment and shipping across Ukraine are described on the delivery and payment page. The brand's full range is in the Mikov knives section.
