Knife GOLAK GOLAK knife The GOLAK is a numbered edition knife that commemorates the participation of our soldiers in the peace mission in Kosovo, aimed at stabilizing the situation there. Its design was partly inspired by the vz. 85 combat knife with its dagger-like blade, which was also used by soldiers in Balkan missions. The integral dagger GOLAK was thus created by combining its shape with the curves of Balkan daggers. The name GOLAK comes from a hillock – the dominant feature of the sector assigned to the Czech soldiers. The War Veteran project is a joint activity of Mikov and the Military Solidarity Fund of the Czech Army. Its aim is to connect the memory of the heroism of the Czech Army soldiers with concrete help to those in need. FOXTROT knife Knife FOXTROT is designed as a hybrid between a combat knife and a survival tool: It is the fifth knife of the War Veteran Project, based on a knife originally intended for Czech soldiers deployed in Afghanistan. Designed according to the requirements of units operating under the most demanding combat conditions. Foxtrot combines proven functionality, high durability, and precise craftsmanship. The blade is made from premium N690 steel, known for its toughness and reliability: DLC surface finish for extreme resistance in harsh conditions. Ergonomic leather handle: For a firm grip and comfort during prolonged use. Includes a leather sheath with double security for safe carrying. Product Description Knife STYX STYX Knife Developed in cooperation with special forces personnel, its design is focused on maximum functionality in extreme conditions. The STYX knife is intended for: Active reserve unit of the 152nd Engineer Battalion Members of the military police History of the STYX Knife Dates back to 2002, when Major Roman Hippík designed the first knife with a modified tanto blade tip for a member of the 601st Special Forces Group. In 2005, a downsized version called MP was created from the original design for the military police units of the Army of the Czech Republic. Both variants were produced by Ľubomír Maďarič until 2019. At the initiative of soldiers from the pontoon unit of the active reserves of the 152nd Engineer Battalion, another modification of the STYX knife was developed in 2023. Due to its great popularity, the knife becomes part of another unit of the Army of the Czech Republic. Since 2020, all variants of the STYX knife have been manufactured by Mikov s.r.o. Walking saber model 24/27 The Pattern 24/27 Walking Sabre is a replica of the walking sabre used by the corps of sergeant guards and senior sergeant guards (pattern 24/27). It consists of a blade, handle, and sheath. Key features of the knife: - The blade is made of wedge-shaped cross-section steel and is slightly curved along its entire length, gradually tapering towards the tip. The blade has a tang at the top which connects it to the handle. The axis of the tang is offset relative to the edge to facilitate easy weapon handling. The blade length (without handle) is 750 mm, width 23 mm, and thickness 5 mm. There are no decorative elements (inscriptions, linden branches, etc.) on the blade. The blade is hardened and then tempered to a hardness of 48 HRc. - The handle consists of a grip with a ring, back of the grip, guard, and handle screw. - The grip is made of beech wood, hollowed inside for the tang and covered with goatskin. The grip is further decorated with wire braided into a chain. The upper end of the grip is widened into a pommel, and ribs are placed below the pommel downwards for a comfortable hold. A ring fits tightly to the grip below the last lower rib. The back covers the rear side and pommel of the grip. At the top, it is notched for the guard pommel. - The guard of this sabre is nickel-plated. On the side facing the body, it is widened and arched, with the arched part cut out in two places forming two arched bars (attachment straps). The guard narrows towards a bow fastened at the end of the tang with a screw. The opposite end of the guard is curled towards the blade and filled in. The outer surface of the guard is decorated at the top with a stylized linden branch with the middle state emblem in the center. The remaining outer surface of the guard is embellished with fine beading. The inner side of the guard is smooth. The handle screw is screwed from above into the back of the handle. - The sheath is made of steel sheet and shaped to fit the shape of the sabre. The sheath is bright nickel-plated. The sheath includes these components: throat, upper and lower rings, and tip. The throat is inserted into the sheath opening and internally extends into two spring leaves; beneath these leaves, two wooden liners are inserted. The springs and liners hold the blade in the sheath. The upper and lower rings are slid onto the sheath for securing the sabre to a belt. The upper ring has an elongated eye on the inner side, tilted upwards toward the sabre edge. The lower ring has an oval loop on the back, aligned with the sheath. The bottom split end of the sheath is soldered with a tip. The above description corresponds to the standard manufacturing version. Knife REPETITOR REPETITOR Knife This is a numbered limited edition commemorating the participation of Czech soldiers in Balkan missions UNPROFOR, UNCRO, IFOR, and SFOR since 1992. It bears, upon the proposal of Chief of the General Staff Aleš Opata, the name of checkpoint T 23 - Repetitor, where during the fulfillment of UNPROFOR mission tasks in August 1995, two Czech soldiers died: Luděk Zeman Petr Valeš Its design concept is a reminiscence of the famous bayonet for the vz. 58 assault rifle. As with the previous knife project Storm, the designer Major Roman Hippík was inspired by a cold weapon that has been part of our army’s arsenal for several decades and is connected with its history. In this case, it is the bayonet for the vz. 58 assault rifle, familiar to almost all who served in the army, whether as conscripts or professional soldiers.
