SLOVAN knife

The SLOVAN knife is a combat knife and a part of the equipment of the 2nd mechanized company of the 42nd mechanized battalion from Tábor. The knife design was developed based on the unit's requirements. The authors involved in its design were Chief Engineer Vratislav Hejna and Major Engineer Roman Hippík. All prototypical development and production of the knife were carried out by Mikov s.r.o. The knife is constructed as an integral fixed blade knife.

The ergonomic olive green handle with gripping enhancements allows great versatility in handling during work and combat activities. Despite its weight of 321 grams and a blade length of 140 mm, maximum working performance of the knife is achieved. The blade is made from Böhler N690 stainless steel with a DLC surface finish, which is one of the prominent knife steels with high cutting ability and resistance to damage and corrosion. The guaranteed hardness is 57-60 HRc. The handle is made of G10 material.

The name Slovan links to the legacy of the Czechoslovak Legions, who contributed to the founding of our state. Alongside the company emblem, the knife becomes an integral part of the unit's symbolism, and its use is limited only to core members of the unit or those whom the company command decides to equip with the knife. Each knife is manufactured with a high degree of handcraftsmanship and undergoes individual inspection. The knife is not intended for general public sale.
