UTON Pattern 75 Bayonet
UTON Pattern 75 Bayonet
BAYONET
The Uton model 75 bayonet, together with a saw, file, and cord (paracord), forms the standard supplementary equipment for the UTON model 75 fixed blade knife, which was introduced into the Czechoslovak People's Army in the 1970s.
This accessory expands the knife’s capabilities from a purely combat tool to a versatile survival tool. It is made of carbon steel GR 1070 and is blackened. Main uses:
- Handling explosives: Piercing holes into plastic explosive charges (e.g., explosive Pl Np 10) for inserting detonators.
- Equipment repairs: Sewing coarse materials (leather, tarpaulin) or untying knots.
- Marking: Engraving soft materials or emergency trail marking.
- Prying: Minor prying where the knife tip might be too strong or fragile.
