Mikov Knife Sheaths: Safe Carry and Blade Protection

A sheath is more than a way to hang a knife on your belt. According to Czech manufacturer Mikov, the right sheath makes a knife safe to handle, protects the edge and keeps it comfortable to carry in any terrain. Every Mikov sheath is designed around the dimensions of specific knives. The knife sits snugly, doesn't fall out, and both blade and handle are protected from moisture, dirt and damage. Leather sheaths

Leather is the classic sheath material: tough, pleasant to the touch and full of character as it ages. We carry leather sheaths for these Mikov models:

• UTON — sheath 362-OG-1, plus complete versions with accessories 362-4 and 362-OG-4 for the legendary military knife;
• PREDATOR 241 — in black or brown;
• FIXIR, PRAKTIK, HIKER 232-115-116 — one sheath for three models, black or brown;
• HABLOCK 220 — black or brown;
• FANG 386-NH-4, JELEN 370-XP-3, BOMBUR 366-NG, DIVER AZ 07 — sheaths for hunting and outdoor knives.

Kydex sheaths for LIST

Kydex is a rigid thermoplastic moulded precisely to the blade. It is waterproof, doesn't stretch over time and holds the knife with a positive click. Sheaths for the compact LIST knife come in several colours: black, grey, sand, olive, coyote and orange. Orange is easy to spot if the knife drops into grass or snow. You can wear the LIST around your neck in its Kydex sheath, using the Mikov ball chain from our Lanyards and chains section.

Knife cases

The 0029 case is designed for carrying and storing knives, protecting a collection or a working set in transit. It is available with or without the Mikov logo.

Choosing the right sheath

Match your knife's name and model number to the sheath description. Each Mikov model has its own blade and handle shape, so a sheath made for another knife, even one of similar size, may not hold well. If your knife isn't listed, get in touch and we'll check compatibility. The knives themselves are in Mikov Knives.

Sheath care

• Don't leave a damp knife in a leather sheath for long. Wipe and dry the blade first.
• Treat leather occasionally with a leather care product so it doesn't dry out and crack.
• Kydex just needs rinsing with water. Sand and grit inside the sheath scratch the blade, so wash it out from time to time.

FAQ

Will a sheath for another Mikov model fit my knife?
Only if the description says so, as with the sheath for FIXIR, PRAKTIK and HIKER. Otherwise the knife may sit loosely and fall out.

Leather or Kydex?
Leather is the classic choice for everyday carry and hunting knives. Kydex is easier to care for, waterproof and holds the knife rigidly, so it's often preferred for outdoor use.

Can I wear the LIST knife around my neck?
Yes. Put the LIST in its Kydex sheath and hang it on the Mikov ball chain.
