Mikov Throwing Knives and Shuriken

Mikov throwing knives and shuriken are made for sport and recreational target throwing — a pursuit that calls for accuracy, coordination, and focus. They are made of tough materials able to withstand repeated impacts against the target and mechanical stress. Thanks to a balanced construction and a well-judged shape, these models suit both beginners and advanced throwers looking for reliable equipment to refine their technique.

The HIT series models

This category features three models. The HIT X 722-N-7 throwing star is a classic stainless-steel "star" shuriken for practising target throws. The HIT V 721-N-23 throwing knife has a square (faceted) profile, while the HIT O 720-N-23 throwing knife is rounded; these options let you match the geometry to your own grip and rotation technique. The brand's wider range is gathered in the Mikov knives section.

How to choose a throwing knife or shuriken

Beginners usually find the throw easier to learn with symmetrical models and the star: they are more forgiving of errors in the angle of rotation. A faceted (square) profile feels different in the hand from a rounded one, so the choice between the HIT V and HIT O comes down mainly to personal preference and technique. Pay attention to the weight and balance of the piece, and always use a properly prepared target (a wooden board) with a safe zone around it.
