Mikov EDC Knives
Mikov EDC knives: a knife for everyday carry
EDC (Every Day Carry) knives are the ones you keep with you daily, for ordinary tasks in the city, on a walk or on a trip. This section holds models designed for reliable everyday use, with an emphasis on ergonomics, light weight and material quality. PROFI-INSTRUMENT is the official Mikov distributor in Ukraine, so every knife here is a genuine product from the manufacturer. You can view our dealer certificate online.
Models in this section
- LIST. A compact fixed-blade knife with a minimalist design. The blade is Böhler N690 steel and the handle is stainless steel, which can be wrapped with paracord if you like. It comes with a Kydex sheath. The manufacturer presents it as an urban knife with quick access to the blade.
- PATRON. A sturdier fixed-blade knife, also in Böhler N690 steel. The G10 composite handle keeps its grip in wet conditions and with work gloves. The manufacturer says the model suits both urban carry and heavier outdoor work.
- ELIPT. A modern folding knife with a pocket clip. The blade is D2 steel hardened to 60–63 HRc, and the duralumin handle has a scratch-resistant ELOX finish. It opens with one hand and locks with a liner-lock; the blade has a stonewash finish.
How to choose an EDC knife
A fixed blade is simpler and stronger and easier to clean; a folder sits better in a pocket and draws less attention. The manufacturer describes N690 steel as having high corrosion resistance, long edge retention and easy sharpening, while D2 offers high wear resistance. Before buying, check the local rules on carrying knives that apply to you. If you need a compact knife of another type, see Mikov pocket knives, and for work outdoors, the hunting knives.
