Mikov Knife Gift Boxes

Mikov Gift Boxes: A Knife Worth Giving
A good knife is a gift that lasts for years, and in a proper box it instantly feels like something special rather than just a tool. Czech manufacturer Mikov makes its boxes for safe storage, transport and attractive presentation of its knives. Each box protects the knife's surface from scratches and the elements, and quality materials keep the knife in perfect condition even during long-term storage.
Wooden boxes
Mikov wooden boxes close with a metal clasp and have a soft blue insert with a recess shaped exactly to the knife, so it sits still and never touches the sides. We carry boxes for these models:
- RYBIČKA 130-DZ and 130-DS — for the legendary "little fish" knife. The recess follows the fish silhouette, and the inside of the lid carries the Mikov logo with "Since 1794" in gold or silver;
- PREDATOR OTF DDK1 — for PREDATOR out-the-front knives;
- UTON DDK2 — for the UTON military knife;
- STOVKA 100 — for the STOVKA pocket knife;
- MEČÍK 700 and 701 — longer boxes for larger knives, including the hunting knife.
Metal boxes
Metal boxes are more compact and practical. They work well for storing a knife at home or on the go, and as neat gift packaging.
- PDK1 — for RYBIČKA and STOVKA knives, with a soft insert;
- PDK3 — for PRAKTIK and HIKER, with a clear window in the lid so the knife is on display.
Who it's for and when
Mikov recommends its boxes for milestone birthdays, weddings and retirements, or as a meaningful thank-you to a business partner. A branded box makes it clear this is a genuine Czech knife, not a random purchase. For collectors, a box is also the way to keep a knife in unused condition.
Choosing the right box
Each box is made for a specific knife model, so check the name and model number. A knife of a different shape won't sit properly in the insert. You'll find the knives themselves in Mikov Knives. For everyday carry, add a sheath or a lanyard. All accessories are in Mikov Knife Accessories.
Official supply

FAQ
Is it okay to give a knife as a gift?
Yes. There's an old custom: the person receiving a knife gives the giver a symbolic coin, turning the gift into a "purchase". Today it's more of a charming tradition, and a quality knife in its original box remains one of the most practical gifts.
Is the knife included with the box?
No, boxes in this section are sold separately. Choose the knife in the Mikov catalogue and add it to your order.
Will a box fit a different knife?
The insert is shaped for a specific model, so another knife may not sit snugly. If you're unsure, just ask us.
