The Uton is a legendary military knife by Mikov that served as standard-issue equipment in the Czech army and has long reached well beyond purely military use. Its name points back to "útočný nůž" — an assault knife — and that's exactly what it is: no unnecessary decoration, built to work in the field. It's easy to recognise by its distinctive hardened-rubber handle, which stays secure in the hand even in rain, mud or frost.
Uton versions available
This section brings together the core builds of the series, from budget to collector-grade. They differ mainly in blade steel:
- Carbon steel — the Uton 362-OG, the most affordable version with a traditional "army" blade character.
- 420 stainless steel — the practical Uton 362-NG, moisture-resistant and easy to maintain.
- Böhler N690 — the Uton 362-BG and a Stonewash version: higher wear resistance and longer edge retention.
Worth a special mention are the complete Uton 362-NG-4 ARMY and POLICE sets — with a saw, file and sheath — the UTON AZ bayonet, and the collector-grade reconnaissance Uton vz. 74 with a wire-cutting mechanism.
